MERIT
Most people in America are not racist. The U.S. pretty much operates on the merit system. That’s the dead opposite of the kind of racism that denies someone a job because of their race. Employers are looking to hire people of all races. They hire on merit and promote on merit. Recently, merit has come under attack from the left, e.g., “Merit is racist.”
If we were to abolish the merit system, people who are incompetent would be promoted to higher positions. That would reduce the efficiency of a company or country that turned its back on merit. Over time, it would prove to be terminal for a country. Everybody would be equal in their misery. Like so much that emanates from the left, it is nonsense.
