CLUELESS

Wouldn’t you think that after spending trillions of dollars in the past 60 years to alleviate poverty and improve behavior that someone on the left would say this isn’t working? Passing out free money only seems to encourage homelessness, crime and addiction. In Minnesota, the progressives never question the efficacy of these vast outlays. The Democrats in our legislature burned through our large budget surplus in an orgy of redistribution. There was free money for every cause, including large sums for the downtrodden. Should we expect any kind of social payoff for all this money? How about less crime and less drug use? Don’t count on it. These social problems keep getting worse the more money that’s spent on them.
