Jim Cook

RUNAWAY SOCIAL SYMPATHY

Every once in a while I switch the TV channel from Fox to CNBC to see what the liberals are saying.  After listening awhile I get a deep sense of hopelessness and foreboding for our country.  The most important thing for the left is giving money to people.  They are happy to see the growth of food stamps, disability payments, housing subsidies, free healthcare and all the other welfare benefits.  They utterly fail to see the damage it is doing to the recipients.  Whole cities that once flourished have deteriorated into rotting eyesores populated with shambling hulks of chemically dependent drones.  These people are no longer employable.  They have become incompetent and helpless and the liberals can’t see that it’s their doing.

In addition to now funding wars in at least half a dozen countries, U.S taxpayers have generously been paying to run the largest dope ring in the history of Polk County, Florida, population 600,000.

In June of this year, the County Sheriff's Office, in a series of raids, broke up the largest heroin ring in county history.  What the Sheriff's Office found out was shocking. Most of those arrested for trafficking in heroin were on federal welfare programs of some variety.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd reports that his office found that a large number of the 34 arrested in the heroin ring were on Social Security "disability" payments, federal food stamps, welfare, or other programs the taxpayers are paying for by a government in a financial crisis.

Here were all of these people who claimed to be "down and out" in some way, some saying they are too sick or injured to work, who were up all hours of the day and night buying an selling heroin...no doubt with federal taxpayer money.

There should be signs at the homes the Sheriff's Office raided, similar to highway road signs, "This is you taxpayer money at work for you."

Here are these alleged druggies....claiming they can't work or at least claiming they need Federal Food stamps, but they have money to buy cars, gas and other tools needed to drive from house to house at all hours buying and selling drugs.

The Sheriff's Office reports the apparent ringleader of the heroin ring claimed no known means of support when it came to paying federal taxes, yet he owned four homes in Polk County.  The ringleader told detectives his income, at the most, is $700 a month, yet he has been buying homes and renting them, cars and other property. The Sheriff's Office suspects he has been making at least ten times what he claims his income is.  This is all tax-free money, of course.  The honest worker or businessman pays taxes on visible work, but these drug profits are not taxed.

I had a boss years ago who argued that one of the reasons we have such a huge drug trade in this country, that is even adversely impacting Mexico which helps supply the drug demand, is because it is an untaxed enterprise.

Drug dealers use the streets, public infrastructure,

I give Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd credit for pointing out to the taxpaying public how their tax money is being wasted. The Sheriff's Office admits it is shocked at how many in the heroin ring are living off of the federal taxpayers in some way.

This is what Jim Cook has been preaching for decades, how much of our tax money is being mis-used.  Often, these federal "assistance" programs foster an attitude that you don't have to solve problems for others or produce anything....you have a right to "have," even if someone else is forced to pay for it.
