RUNAWAY SOCIAL SYMPATHY

Every once in a while I switch the TV channel from Fox to CNBC to see what the liberals are saying.  After listening awhile I get a deep sense of hopelessness and foreboding for our country.  The most important thing for the left is giving money to people.  They are happy to see the growth of food stamps, disability payments, housing subsidies, free healthcare and all the other welfare benefits.  They utterly fail to see the damage it is doing to the recipients.  Whole cities that once flourished have deteriorated into rotting eyesores populated with shambling hulks of chemically dependent drones.  These people are no longer employable.  They have become incompetent and helpless and the liberals can’t see that it’s their doing.

A LITTLE PARANOIA IS GOOD

Reports of police standing aside or not showing up in Oakland to protect the public from unruly Wall Street demonstrators should cause great alarm.  When the police excuse themselves from their duty because of politics or because they are union members we are all at risk.  These anti-Wall Street extremists share Lenin’s revolutionary enthusiasm.  He would murder anybody that got in his way.  Some of these demonstrators are so full of hate and righteousness they too would justify atrocities against the rich.  If the cops don’t come when you call them it’s the end of America as we’ve known it.

The Reds thought nothing of killing people to advance their cause.  The Marxists made great use of criminals who joined the party and helped butcher the well-to-do, the entrepreneurs and those who had assets.  They thought nothing of robbing the safe deposit boxes in every bank in Russia.  How many of today’s demonstrators are of similar ilk?  Enough to make me slightly paranoid about our future safety and security.

These are Lenin’s children.  What the Marxists have done in the past they can do again.  In Russia they hated the free market in agriculture.  So they murdered 7 million farmers.  They shot them, stabbed them, burned them and hung them.  They took the mothers, children, babies and grandparents on trains to Siberia and dumped them off in winter with nothing but the clothes on their back.  In spring not a soul could be found.

When the farmers resisted they were shot or deported to slave labor camps.   Starvation became a policy.  Vast areas were robbed of their grain.  Food shipments were not allowed to go to the hungry.  In 1933, 25,000 people died of starvation every day.  It was written, “The once smiling young faces of children vanished forever amid the constant pain of hunger.  It gnawed away at their bellies, which became grossly swollen, while their arms and legs became like sticks as they slowly starved to death.”  Three million children perished.

The farmers were obliterated.  Meanwhile the New York Times claimed all talk of famine was ridiculous.  The Times admired the Soviet system.  Their reporter won the Pulitzer Prize for his glowing reports on Russia.  These days the Times loves the Wall Street demonstrators.  They probably don’t see anything wrong with the police letting a radical leftist mob and a bunch of union thugs destroy private property. Lenin would have been overjoyed.

We are experiencing this unrest because the economy is sputtering and unemployment is high.  What happens if the European debt crisis spreads to the U.S. and we try to inflate the problem away?  What happens if the dollar fails and the money is no longer there for welfare, unemployment, food stamps and other social schemes?  How big will the demonstrations be and how dangerous?  Will the police and the National Guard be influenced by radical politicians and union bully boys?  Will the criminals be unleashed on the 1%?

It may sound improbable to you and perhaps it is.  Nevertheless, it’s good to remember how ruthless and bloody socialists and statists have been.  Nobody in Russia thought Lenin could prevail.  The Czar and Czarina never dreamed that someday the Reds would herd their little family into a room and slaughter them.  We have our share of collectivists and criminals in America who would do us harm.  Backed by the “useful idiots” in the liberal party they could cause the ground beneath us to fall away.  Keep this possibility in mind.  If not for you, for your children and grandchildren.  For them our fears should be ongoing.  Our left wing political opponents are no strangers to a heritage of doing great evil in the name of good.
